Mark holds an MBA from Virginia Tech’s Pamplin School of Business, a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design from Cedarville University, and a Project Management Professional Certification. Mark proudly leads shop management to build repeatable processes, creating sustainable quality and performance that customers can hold Pro-Type accountable to.

Mark Taylor, CEO

John started his career at Pro-Type early, working in the machine shop at 17 years old in the 1980s. After graduating from Radford University with a Bachelor's in Business Management, he returned to help grow Pro-Type Industries to what it is today. By advising on investment in cutting-edge machines that were only market-disrupters at the time, he was able to innovate and keep up with modern customer demand and quality.

MEET THE TEAM

As a third-generation, family-owned business, we dedicate a lot of resources to training and development, and we’re proud of the highly skilled team we’ve built over the last five decades—a team with an average tenure of 17 years.

With 50+ Experienced Mechanics and Technicians, Engineers, and Craftspeople, our customers receive deliverables specifically crafted to operate in their mission-critical environments. Each member of the team is essential to the important work we do.

The Front Office Team works dilligently to funnel customer requests to the right department and ensure all project-related inquiries are answered promptly. Customer experience is of the utmost importance.

The CNC Machining Department oversees all CNC Machine programming and works to take a customer drawing and spec sheet and turn it into a fully machined, deliverable product. This department advises on which machines will be the most efficient to get the most precise outcomes in the fastest run-time.

The Human Resources Department recruits and matches qualified applicants to relevant postings within the Pro-Type team. Additionally, HR's priorities are to provide benefits packages to meet health and safety needs for employees and their families.

The Engineering Management Department is the heart of planning and programming for. Sheet Metal and Large Assembly projects. This team ensures all complex and precision sheet metal projects are to exacting specifications.

The Pro-Type Industries Quality Assurance Department performs regular audits and inspections to maintain the highest quality standards.

The Production Management Department provides a direct line of contact for clients to the Pro-Type Production Team. This team provides project statusing and works to expedite time-sensitive production requests.
